COLONIA, NJ – Senior goalkeeper Eric Jewson and junior forward Archie Murphy from the Roberts Wesleyan University Men's Soccer team have been honored by the East Coast Conference (ECC) with weekly Awards.
Jewson was named the ECC Defensive Player of the Week and Murphy earned a spot on the ECC Weekly Honor Roll after leading the Redhawks to a pair of wins over the weekend as the team opened the 2025 schedule.
Jewson opened the season with a pair of shutouts as Roberts Wesleyan went on the road and defeated Malone University 1-0 and then traveled to Walsh University and posted a 2-0 win. Jewson finished the weekend with 11 saves including seven in the win at Walsh. The wins were his 9th and 10th of his career and he has recorded six career shutouts.
Murphy moved into the starting role on the Roberts Wesleyan front line and made an immediate impact with the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win at Malone in the season opener and then added an assist on the game-winning goal in the 2-0 win at Walsh.
Roberts opens the home portion of the schedule Tuesday afternoon with a 2 p.m. game against Assumption University at Roberts Stadium.
