BRADFORD, PA – Sophomore Cara Pillittieri won three individual races and added a win as the anchor leg of the opening relay to lead the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Swimming and Diving team to a convincing 140-70 win at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford to open the second semester schedule.
In the opening 200 Medley Relay, freshmen Skye Micklethwaite and Teagan Lewis combined with senior Joane Arzalluz-Garzon and Pillittieri to with the race in 1:58.90.
Pillittier added wins in the 50 free (27.20), the 500 free (5:57.88) and the 200 IM (2:36.97) to lead the Redhawks.
Lewis added wins in the 100 free with a time of 58.62 and the 50 butterfly with a winning time of 29.66 while Micklethwaite was the winner in the 100 butterfly with her time of 1:02.77.
The freshman from South Africa also helped the team to a win in the 200 free relay to close out the event. She teamed with sophomore Paige Kern and juniors Leanne Dolph and Juliana French for a combined time of 1:56.31.
Junior Jordan Vanderhoof posted a win in the 50 backstroke with a time of 27.65 to cap the winning times for Roberts.
Roberts will swim next at SUNY Oswego Saturday with a meet set to start at 1 p.m.
