ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Jadyn Mullen,
Abigail Bowen and
Karis Kraf each finished first an event for the Roberts Wesleyan University women's track and field team at the RIT Friday Meet on Friday night.
Mullen, a junior, won the 400-meter run, Bowen, a freshman, won the 300, and Kraf, a sophomore, was victorious in the pole vault.
Mullen's time of 59.68 seconds ranks third in program history while Bowen's effort of 44.2 seconds is fourth all-time.
Kraf cleared 3.92 meters (12-feet, 10 ½- inches) as the Redhawks took the top four spots in the pole vault.
Melia Couchman,
Natalie Murray and
Kennedy Benjamins all cleared 3.62 meters (11-10 ½) and Couchman and Murray tied for second based on fewer misses.
Benjamins, running the 60-meter dash for the first time as a collegian, finished second in 7.91 seconds and registered the fourth-best time in program history (7.89) in qualifying.
Michaela Goettel finished third in the 1,000 (3:09.18) and
Paige Reeser (3:10.62) took fourth.
Ava Wierda finished 10
th in the weight throw with an effort of 14.00 meters (45-11 ¼), which is the fifth best in program history.
