YOUNGSTOWN, OH – Junior Jadyn Mullen set the school record in the Pentathlon and sophomore Karis Kraf added to her resume with a meet record effort in the Pole Vault as the duo led the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Track and Field team at the Youngstown Mid-Major Invitational meet.
Mullen won the Pentathlon with a school-record score of 3,816. She won the High Jump with a height of 1.68 meters (5' 6") and the 800-meters with a time of 2:19.45 with a meet record time. She was also second in the shot put, seventh in the 60-meter hurdles and 10th in the long jump.
Kraf was first in the pole vault competition as she cleared the 4.18-meter bar (13' 8 ½") for a new PR and a meet record. Sophomore Kennedy Benjamins was fourth with a height of 3.87 meters (12' 8 ¼") and freshman Natalie Murray placed eighth with a height of 3.62 meters (11' 10 ½").
Senior Rachel Horner-Richardson was second in the 5K race with a time of 17:53.29 and also placed ninth in the mile with her time of 5:23.78.
Sophomore Evelyn Schmit was third in the 3K with a PR time of 10:15.47 and senior Lydia Roselund was sixth with a PR time of 10:30.87.
Freshman Michaela Goettel took seventh in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:20.35. She also led off the fourth-place Distance Medley Relay as she teamed with freshmen Lydia Demarist and Solki Martin-Lacayo and sophomore Paige Resser for a time of 12:28.32.
Sophomore Amelia Mickelson was eighth and freshman Rose Wilson finished eighth and 10th in the 1000-meter race with times of 3:14.05 and 3:15.18 respectively.
The Track and Field teams will compete February 6 and 7 at the Blue and Orange Invitational at Bucknell University.
