BROCKPORT, NY – Pole Vaulters Chase McFadden and Jordan Bryner hit career-highs and thrower Owen Callahan also had his best career mark in the Weight Throw to lead the Roberts Wesleyan University Men's and Women's Track and Field teams at the last chance meet in the Special Events and Recreation Center.
Bryner hit his PR as he cleared the 4.92-meter (16' 1 ¾") to win the pole vault competition. Freshman Noah Leathersich also cleared the 4.92 bar. Sophomore Austin Melvin, freshman Terron Metz and McFadden all tied at 4.72 meters (15' 5 ¼"). The height was a career-best for McFadden.
Callahan was second in the Weight Throw as he had his PR with a toss of 16.15 meters (53' 0"). The marl is also second on the all-time Roberts Wesleyan top-5 list.
In the Women's Pole Vault competition, junior Melia Couchman, freshman Natalie Murray and sophomore Kennedy Benjamins had the top finishes with each clearing the 3.72-meter (12' 2 ¼") bar.
The official selections for the NCAA Division II Championships will be announced following the remaining weekend meets.
