COLONIA, NJ – Graduate student Allison Clahane led a group of five players from the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Lacrosse team to East Coast Conference (ECC) Weekly Awards as she was named the ECC Defensive Player of the Week.
Joining Clahane with weekly honors are senior Ella Dossier, sophomore Lia MacDougall and freshmen Brooke Guelli and Josella Harrison as each were named to the ECC Weekly Honor Roll.
Clahane led the Roberts defense with three caused turnovers and picked up a pair of ground balls to help the Redhawks to a 19-6 road win at D'Youville.
Dossier was a key to the offensive success of the Redhawks in a 19-6 win over D'Youville in ECC play as she handed out five assists and added a goal for six points in the win. She added three ground balls and a caused turnover in the game.
MacDougall led Roberts with five goals and an assist for six and added five ground balls, two caused turnovers and two draw controls on the day.
Harrison finished with six saves, including four in the second half while Guelli scored four goalsand added two ground balls, a caused turnover and a pair of draw controls for the Redhawks.
Roberts finishes the home regular season schedule Saturday with a 2 p.m. game against Daemen with Senior Day before the game.
