ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University women's volleyball team will welcome five new student-athletes for the 2026 season.
The incoming class includes players from four different states and Canada.
The Redhawks open their season at the Hall of Fame City Challenge hosted by Malone University in Canton, Ohio, on Aug. 28.
Let's meet the newest members of the Redhawks:
Position: Setter
Year: Freshman
Hometown: North Aurora, Ill.
High School: Aurora Christian
Major: Nursing
Before Roberts: Recorded 466 assists, 147 digs and 44 aces during her senior season at Aurora Christian … Named MVP of the Chicago Christian Tournament and All-Conference as a senior … Notched her 1,000
th career assist during junior season … National Honor Society member.
I chose Roberts because: "I wanted a school where I could compete and play and it seemed like a good group of girls. I chose it academically because they have a good nursing program and I also wanted a faith-based college to continue my education."
Position: Outside hitter/Middle hitter
Year: Freshman
Hometown: Missoula, Montana
High School: Loyola Sacred Heart
Major: Childhood Education
Before Roberts: Captain of club team that won AAU state championship … Competed in basketball, tennis and track … Completed 100 hours of volunteer service hours while helping and running sports camps, volunteering in classrooms, and conducting food drives and prayer services.
I chose Roberts because: "I got a glimpse into the community on my visit and it is very important to me to be surrounded by kind and supportive people and it seemed like that was exactly what I will get at Roberts."
Position: Defensive specialist/outside hitter
Year: Freshman
Hometown: Rochester, N.Y.
High School: Charles Finney
Major: Business Administration
Before Roberts: First player in Finney history to record 1,000 career kills … Helped lead Finney to the Section V Class B championship and runner-up finish in the state tournament as a senior … Had 379 kills and 369 digs during senior season … Named All-Greater Rochester Small-School Player of the Year and Section V Class D1 Tournament MVP as a junior … Selected first-team all-state twice … Coached by her mother, Megan, at Finney … Both Megan, and her older sister, Sarina, played volleyball at Roberts … Also played four years of varsity basketball.
I chose Roberts because: "as soon as I met the coaches and the team, I felt welcomed. I knew it was a place where I would be able to grow both as a student and as an athlete. The strong relationships between the players stood out to me because I find that important to have within a team. Academically, Roberts gives me the opportunity to pursue my goals within my education. I wanted to be at a university that values hard work and character, and I believe that Roberts Wesleyan is that university."

I chose Roberts because: "I wanted to have a strong sense of community within, not only my volleyball team, but also the school's academic environment. I also chose this university to help me grow in my faith and get stronger in my relationship with God."

Before Roberts: Named Team MVP and a Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board All-Star during her junior and senior seasons … Graduated with academic honors and a 4.0 GPA.
I chose Roberts because: "of its strong Christian community, as well as the high level of athletics they participate in. Faith is very important to me and Roberts showed its dedication to highlight Christian values on their campus through mission opportunities, chapel services, and overall Biblical focus in the classroom. Roberts' athletics also stood out to me as I wanted to continue my growth in volleyball and Roberts showed me a high level pathway to do just that."
