ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Playing indoors at Midtown Athletic Club, the Roberts Wesleyan women's tennis team fell to NYIT this afternoon, 8-1.

The lone win of the day for the Redhawks came at sixth singles as Emily Linhart defeated NYIT's Rosa LaCorte 6-3, 6-1.

In doubles action, the closest match came at first doubles where Natalia Cardona and Marine Kennel fell to Alessia Rossetti and Justyna Krol, 8-3.

The result puts Roberts Wesleyan at 5-5 overall while slipping to 1-4 in the East Coast Conference.

Roberts Wesleyan is back in action on Saturday as they step-out of conference play when they host Merrimack at 1 p.m.
