Roberts Wesleyan Receives bid to 2015 NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championships

The Redhawks earned the five-seed in the super regional, which will be held in Nashport, Ohio

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 24, 2015) – Roberts Wesleyan has received a bid to the 2015 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships and will compete in the Atlantic/East Regional, which was announced by the association Friday evening.
 
The Redhawks were named the five-seed in the East Region by the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Committee and will participate in the regional, which will be held at the Longaberger Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio and runs May 4-6. The tournament is hosted by the Mountain East Conference.
 
Roberts Wesleyan is joined in the East Region with fellow East Coast Conference members St. Thomas Aquinas as well as Wilmington (Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference champions), Bentley (Northeast-10 Conference champions), Le Moyne, Concordia (N.Y.), American International, Southern New Hampshire, Nyack, and Chestnut Hill.
 
Representing the Atlantic Region will be Indiana (Pa.), California (Pa.), Mercyhurst, West Chester (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference champion), Millersville, Charleston, West Liberty, Gannon, Notre Dame (Ohio) and Livingstone (Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association champion).
 
At a minimum, the top three teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional (regardless of region) will advance to the finals, May 18-22, at Rock Barn Golf & Spa in Conover, N.C. The remaining eight team berths will be allocated based on the regions represented in the prior year's medal-match portion of the championships, with the maximum number of teams from a given region capped at seven. The finals will be hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University.
