Women's Tennis Win at RIT

Three players were double winners for the Redhawks, who played their third match in as many days

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (April 8, 2015) – Playing in their third match in as many days, Roberts Wesleyan downed RIT inside the Tigers' Gordon Field House.

Three players were double winners the Redhawks, who earned their 10th win of the year.

Fatima Oattara and Camilla Linhart shutout the Tigers' Gianna Heaviland and Bridget Avery at second doubles before the duo won at first and fifth singles respectively. At first singles, Ouattara won a back-and-forth match against Sara Bjork 6-4, 6-7, 6-0 while Linhart earned a 6-3, 6-4 win over Riane Reithel.

Tina Miller was also a double winner as they defeated Paige Baker 6-3, 6-0 at fourth singles after teaming up with Emily Linhart at third singles.

At sixth singles, RIT's Marie Jubert won a thrilling match to get past Julia Vitale 3-6, 7-5, 10-2.

Roberts Wesleyan, who improved to 10-9, will head south to Philadelphia on Friday to take on Chestnut Hill for a 1 p.m. match.
