Rachel Hust Races in 1,500m at NCAA Division II Championship

The senior ran her way to the 15th best time in the 1,500m at the national meet

ALLENDALE, Mich. (May 21, 2015) – Senior distance runner Rachel Hust wrapped up her collegiate career by representing Roberts Wesleyan at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships this afternoon.
 
Hust ran in the second heat of the 1,500m event, crossing the finish line with a time of 4:36.12 which placed her eighth in the heat and 15th overall.
 
The recent graduate came into the race seeded 16th overall when she posted a time of 4:31.52 at the NCCAA National Championships earlier this month.
 
By qualifying, Hust became the first track & field student-athlete from Roberts Wesleyan to compete in an NCAA championship meet. Hust was also a part of the Women's Cross Country team that took ninth place in the NCAA Division II Championships this past fall.
 
The top 12 runners earned a spot in the finals, which is scheduled for Saturday at 2:45 p.m.
