ROCHESTER, NY – A trio of pole vaulters have been selected to compete for the Roberts Wesleyan University Men's and Women's Track and Field teams at the 2026 NCAA Division II National Champions meet beginning March 13 at Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Sophomores Austin Melvin, Karis Kraf and Kennedy Benjamins all earned the qualifying marks to compete in the championships. Junior Jadyn Mullen also qualified in the pentathlon for Roberts but was forced to withdraw due to an injury sustained at the East Coast Conference (ECC) Championships in February.
Melvin is currently ranked third in the nation with his school-record jump of 5.36 meters (17' 7") at the Blue and Orange Invitational in Utica. Kraf is ranked seventh in the country with her vault of 4.18 meters (13' 8 ½") just early in the season at Youngstown while Benjamins ranks 17th with her mark of 3.93 meters (12' 10 ¾") at the ECC Championships.
The men's pole vault is scheduled for 3:20 p.m. Friday, March 13 and the women's pole vault will start Saturday at 4 p.m.
