Men's Tennis Downs Le Moyne to Stay Unbeaten

The Redhawks improved to 3-0 on the year with the win at home against the Dolphins

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan men's tennis team continued their perfect start to the fall season with a 7-2 win over Le Moyne this afternoon.

The match, which was the Redhawks' home opener, saw Charles Farres edging Le Moyne's James Gayvert at first singles 6-4, 6-4. Farres started the day with a win at second doubles with Rene Torti as they downed Hallam Doney and Jason Barton, 8-5.

Robert Beer was also a double winner as he won a second singles over Barton 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 in a come-from-behind match. This came after Beer partnered with Jose Lopez Tapia at first singles, winning 8-5 against Gayvert and Benjamin Spoor.

At sixth singles, Dustin Eshleman defeated Steven Procopio 6-1, 7-5 after winning at third singles.

Roberts Wesleyan improves to 3-0 with the win as they prepare to compete in the Binghamton Round Robin Dual this Friday and Saturday, which includes teams from Buffalo, Colgate, Duquesne, and Niagara.
