ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's tennis team fell to conference foes District of Columbia, 8-1, this afternoon during Homecoming festivities.
 
In doubles, Alyssa Brault and Emily Linhart remained undefeated as they edged the Firebirds' Luara Rojas and Laura Dimante, 8-5, at third doubles.
 
At second doubles, Mona Looareesuwan and Zoe Mall edged Marine Kennel and Camilla Linhart in a hard fought, 9-8 result.
 
The closest singles action was Brault at fifth singles where the freshman narrowly fell 7-6, 6-4, which snapped her unbeaten run in singles to start the year.
 
With the loss, the Redhawks drop to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the East Coast Conference. The team has a quick turnaround as they travel to face Queens on Sunday at noon.
