ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan men's tennis team fell to Rochester this evening, 7-2, suffering their first loss of the year.
Charles Farres and
Robert Beer picked up the two points for the Redhawks at first and second singles, respectively.
At first singles, Farres edged the Yellowjackets' Masaru Fujimaki 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 while Beer downed Ian Baranowski 6-4, 6-3.
Jose Lopez Tapia fell in a hard four match at third singles, falling to Sam Leeman 7-6 (7-5), 6-3.
The result puts Roberts Wesleyan's record at 3-1 as they now prepare to take on Merrimack at home on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 10 a.m.
