Rochester, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan men's and women's track & field teams continued competition on Thursday night at the RIT Early Season Invite.
Although the meet had no team scoring the Redhawks turned in some impressive individual performances.
Kristina Button won both the high jump (1.60m) and the triple jump (10.36m) while also placing fourth in the 400-meter with a time of 63 seconds.
Chelsea Hayward won the 60-meter sprint crossing the line in 7.74 seconds and was second in the 400-meter in 60.40 seconds.
Also on the track,
Kathleen Amstad won the 200-meter with a time of 26.38. The Redhawks won the 4x400-meter relay after
Kaitlyn Swain's anchor leg crossed the line in 4:19.10 just three-hundredths of a second ahead of Nazareth.
In the throwing events, Anna O'Neal was third in the weight throw (12.08m) and fourth in the shot put with a toss of 11.08 meters.
On the men's side,
Tracey Harrison placed first in the 60-meters with a time of 7.12 seconds which tied the second all-time record at Roberts Wesleyan. Harrison also placed third in the long jump (6.52m).
Ashton Colaire was second in the 60-meter high hurdles in 8.48 seconds which is now No.2 all-time in the Roberts record books.
The Redhawks will compete again at RIT on Saturday, January 14 for the RIT Invite. The first event is slated to begin at 10 a.m.
