ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Roberts Wesleyan men's tennis picked up an 8-1 win over Cedarville Friday evening, giving the Redhawks their third straight win.
Robert Beer won second singles in a thrilling match against the Yellowjackets' Ryan Shomo 7-5, 5-7, 10-6 while also teaming up with
Jose Lopez Tapia to win at second doubles, 8-3. The two wins gives Beer 120 career wins, just eight win behind recent graduate Emaunel Rauchle.
In other action,
Charles Farres won at first singles over Matt Brumbaugh, 6-2, 6-4 as Jose Maria Carillo downed Joel Clark, 6-1, 7-5. The duo also teamed up at first doubles to edge Shomo and Clark, 8-6.
The win puts the Redhawks at 6-3 on the year as they visit Edinboro on Tuesday, March 1.
