Rochester, N.Y. - The Roberts Wesleyan women's tennis team only dropped one match to RIT in the team's first home contest of the season, winning the match 8-1.
The Redhawks swept all of the doubles competition with
Marousia Bosch and
Natalia Cardona taking No. 1 doubles 8-4.
In singles competition Roberts Wesleyan claimed No. 2 singles through No.6 singles. Freshman
Salome Darsalia won a tough fought match at No. 6 singles in three sets, 7-6, 5-7, 6-0.
"I'm really proud of everyone the last three matches reflecting the hard work we've put into practice," head coach Becky Bonner said. "We are becoming more and more solid as the season progresses. We are now setting our sights on a huge conference match on Friday versus Saint Thomas Aquinas."
Roberts Wesleyan (6-4) will host a Spartans team that is 3-4 on the season and 1-3 in East Coast Conference play.
