Nthabi Mogopodi led the Roberts Wesleyan women's tennis team at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association East Region Championships, held at the Billy Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y., home of the US Open. Mogopodi the Redhawks No. 1 singles player, advanced to the Round of 32 in the main draw. She defeated Dunn of Merrimack 6-1, 6-1, before falling to Hantzis of Concordia 6-4, 6-2. This is the furthest a women's team player has gone in the tournament.

Andrea Gallardo and
Marousia Bosch each won two matches on Friday to advance to main draw play on Saturday. Gallardo defeated Sartori of Merrimack 8-0 and Robins of UDC 8-1 before falling to Nunez of LeMoyne in a close match 6-3, 4-6, 8-10.
Marousia Bosch defeated Gamamik of U Sciences 8-1 and Savic of Adelphi 8-1 before falling to Rohr of STAC 6-4, 6-2.
The Mogopodi / Gallardo doubles team Lopez / Kopf of STAC 8-3 to enter the round of 32 before falling to Alpund / Brunetti of Queens 8-2.
