AMHERST, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's tennis team put together a good showing at the Daemen Invitational over the weekend with the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles teams making it to the finals of their bracket.

Juniors
Nthabi Mogopodi and
Andrea Gallardo made it to the finals in the No. 1 doubles slot but fell to Lauren Hyland and Jordan Williams of Colgate, an NCAA Division I institution, 8-2. On the path to the finals Mogopodi and Gallardo defeated teams from Rochester Institute of Technology and Clarion University.

Also placing second overall for the Redhawks was the duo of
Marine Kennel and
Laura Freeman who made it to the final match in No. 3 doubles competition. They were defeated by Kelly Klein and Cheyenne Brown of Colgate, 8-0. Kennel and Freeman got victories over Daemen in the quarterfinals and Allegheny in the semifinals.

The Redhawks will host Daemen in a dual match on Tuesday afternoon beginning at 4 p.m.
