ALBANY, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's tennis team improved to 2-0 on the season with another shutout victory on Thursday afternoon, defeating The College of Saint Rose, 8-0.
Junior
Andrea Gallardo and Sophomore Marousia Bosch were both double winners for the Redhawks. Gallardo defeated KeriAnn Mahoney 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 2 singles slot and teamed up with
Nthabi Mogopodi to win 8-1 at No. 1 doubles. Bosch got the win over Lindsey Skouras, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles and also won at No. 2 doubles, 8-2 alongside
Salome Darsalia.
Marine Kennel and
Laura Freeman were the other singles winners for Roberts.
Salome Darsalia won be default at No. 6 singles while
Nthabi Mogopodi's match at No. 1 singles was suspended due to rain.
Roberts will head to Flushing, N.Y. to take on East Coast Conference powerhouse opponent Queens College on Friday. Matches will begin at noon.
