ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan men's and women's track and field teams both placed second on Saturday at the RIT January Friday Meet. The men finished with 152.5 points behind host RIT and the women tied for second with 126 points alongside Houghton and behind RIT.
Senior
Bailey Gostomski was a double individual winner, placing first in the mile (5:12.50) and 3,000m (11:25.17). Gostomski also was a part of the winning 4x400m relay team that took first place in a time of 4:23.24.
Abigail Gostomski won the 800m race by over two seconds in a time of 2:25.99.
Hailee Lowe won the long jump (4.96m)
In men's events,
Ryan Karker won the 800m (1:55.29) and placed second in the 200m (23.67).
Other winners for the Redhawks included,
Teddy Pintabona in the 1,000m (2:41.77),
James Betts in the mile (4:29.42), and
Shane Pease in the 5,000m (15:16.29).
In the field events,
Demar Osbourne took second in shot put (12.76m).
Roberts will be back on the track on Friday and Saturday at the Brockport Multi Meet.
