ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Sarah McClellan, who led the Roberts Wesleyan University women's soccer team to the East Coast Conference regular-season championship, has been named ECC Coach of the Year for the 2023 season.
McClellan, who is in her eighth season as head coach at Roberts, guided the Redhawks to a 6-0-2 record in conference play as the program earned its first ECC regular-season championship and the top seed in the postseason tournament.

Ella White were all third-team selections.
Johnston, a sophomore from Greece, N.Y., led the Redhawks with five goals, including three game-winners, this fall. She was a second-team All-ECC selection last season.
Pearce, a sophomore from Henrietta, N.Y., anchored a back line that allowed just one goal in conference play. She was also a second-team All-ECC selection in 2022.
Knauf, a senior from Schenectady, N.Y., led the ECC in goals-against average (.436) and finished second in saves while recording nine shutouts this season.
Brescia, a sophomore from Spencerport, N.Y., started all 14 games and recorded one assist from her defensive position.
White, a sophomore from Clifton Park, N.Y., scored two goals this season. She was a first-team All-ECC pick in 2022.
The Redhawks (10-3-1) will host No. 4 Molloy in an ECC Championship semifinal at 2 p.m. on Sunday on the grass field at Roberts.
