CLERMONT, FL – Three athletes finished in the top-50 and a fourth was just outside that range in 51st place as the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Triathlon team placed 10th as a team at the NCAA Division II National Championship event the concluded Saturday.
The event included the swimming leg of the race Friday and then the bike and run portions Saturday.
Sophomore Jadyn Mullen was the top Redhawks finisher in 29th place with a combined time of 1:12:58 and junior Joane Arzalluz Garzon was next in 39th position with her time of 1:17:24.
Freshman Jenna Maendel placed 47th in 1:22:05 and fellow freshman Paige Kern rounded out the Roberts scoring in 51st position with a time of 1:25:08.
Wingate University won the team championship with 742 points while the Redhawks finished with 164 team points.
