COLONIA, NJ – Junior Archie Murphy and senior Eric Jewson helped the Roberts Wesleyan University Men's Soccer team remain undefeated this week with a win and a tie and have been selected by the East Coast Conference (ECC) for weekly awards.
Murphy was named the ECC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season and Jewson earned a spot on the ECC Weekly Honor Roll.
Murphy continued his scoring streak with another three goals in two matches last week. He netted a pair of goals in a 3-3 tie with Georgian Court in a midweek match and then scored the first goal of the game in a 3-1 home win over ECC foe D'Youville over the weekend. Murphy is tied for the ECC lead in goals, leads the conference in game-winning goals and is second on the leaderboard for points.
Jewson made 13 saves in two games last week to help Roberts remain undefeated with a win and a tie. He made six saves in a 3-3 tie with Georgian Court in a midweek match and then stopped seven shots in a 3-1 victory over ECC foe D'Youville Saturday.
The Redhawks are on the road at Goldey-Beacom Wednesday and return home Saturday for face ECC for the University of the District of Columbia.
