COLONIA, NJ – Senior Isaac Marrero was named the Offensive Player of the Week and sophomore Landon Brimmer was named the Goalie of the Week as the East Coast Conference (ECC) honored five members of the Men's Lacrosse team with weekly awards.
Joining Marrero and Brimmer on the awards list were senior Liam Linden and sophomores Colin Duncan and Chase Wilson who each earned a spot on the ECC Weekly Honor Roll.
Marrero was a key factor in the two wins last week for Roberts. He dominated the face-off X with a 15-for-21 number in the win over Lake Erie and added a 16-for-21 effort on the road at UDC. For the week, he was 31-for42 (.738) at the X with 28 ground balls.
Brimmer made 11 saves in a midweek win over Lake Erie and then played the first half and made four saves in a road ECC win at UDC. He was 2-0 with 15 saves for the week.
Linden was dominant on the defensive end of the field. In the midweek game at home against Lake Erie College, he set the school record with seven caused turnovers and added 11 ground balls and then finished the week with four more CTs and four more GBs in the road win over UDC. He currently leads the country in caused turnovers per game with 3.75 per contest.
Duncan led the Roberts offense in a pair of wins last week. He recorded four goals and an assist in the 13-7 win over Lake Erie College and then added three goals and an assist in the road ECC win at UDC
Wilson led Roberts for the week with eight goals. He was 3-0 in the win over Lake Erie and then added a 5-0 effort in the road ECC win at UDC. He leads the ECC with 3.13 goals per game.
The Redhawks continue ECC play this weekend at home against Mercy University with a 12 p.m. game Saturday in the first game of a men's/women's doubleheader on Redhawks Turf Field.
