Volleyball Duo Named AVCA All-Americans

LEXINGTON, KY – Freshman Jordan Hoover and sophomore Landon Brouwer continued to collect post-season honors as each have been selected to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American team from National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) institutions.

Both were also named NCCAA All-Americans and the additional honor comes from the national coaches association for volleyball.

The two players led the Redhawks to a 20-10 overall record and the East Coast Conference (ECC) championship title with wins over American International and St. Thomas Aquinas College in the ECC Tournament.

Hoover was named an All-ECC All Star and earned the Rookie of the Year award from the conference. He led the Redhawks with a .417 attack percentage with 206 kills and just 49 errors with 377 total attacks. He was also the team leader with 127 blocks including 20 solo blocks on the season.

Brouwer was among the national leaders in assists with 963 and a 9.93 assists per set average. He added a team leading 26 aces and was second on the team with 180 digs.
