ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University men's soccer team will welcome 12 new players for the 2026 season.
The incoming class includes six freshman and six juniors. Six student-athletes played high school soccer for schools in the Rochester area.
The defending East Coast Conference champion Redhawks open their season on Aug. 29 at Assumption University.

I chose Roberts because: "I really liked the tight-knit community and how welcoming everyone is here. I like how it is a Christian school and everyone gets along with one another. The men's soccer team has a winning culture and that was something I wanted to be a part of. Everyone I've talked to has had great things to say about Roberts, so that's why I chose Roberts Wesleyan.

One of the biggest factors was the strong Christian foundation and close-knit community that makes Roberts feel like more than a university. I was also fortunate enough to receive a generous scholarship opportunity, which made Roberts an excellent fit financially. In addition, several members of my family, including immediate and extended relatives, attended Roberts, so I was already familiar with the welcoming atmosphere and strong sense of community on campus. From visiting and speaking to players and coaching staff, I could tell that the team is really competitive, tight-knit and there's a good team culture. The academics are just as strong, the facilities are great and it has the resources and opportunities and can really help me succeed in the future."

Coach Scott made me feel welcome and comfortable. The dentistry program at the University caught my attention as well since dentistry is a path I am interested in following. The biggest part was that attending RWU meant to be able to keep forming the special bond I already have with God and being able to communicate and have company from him since home is far away from RWU."

It has academic program that I want to pursue, it has a great men's soccer program, talking to Coach Scott also gave me confidence that Roberts is the right school for me in that I'd find friends and connections well. It's near a city and the area looks very nice. The school is in a somewhat close vicinity to some of my family in the United States. Overall, it just seemed like a great fit."
