Rochester, NY- The Roberts Wesleyan women's tennis team got a win over East Coast Conference opponent Saint Thomas Aquinas, 5-4 on Friday afternoon to keep the Redhawks in the ECC playoff picture.
Salome Darsalia clinched the match with her victory at No.6 singles, winning 6-1, 6-2 against Shannon Biehle. Darsalia also won at No. 2 doubles alongside Tiffany Hamdan 8-3.
Hamdan defeated Nyenyeri Kanefu in No.2 singles 6-4, 7-6 to win both matches on the day.
Alyssa Brault was the other double winner to help the Redhawks seal the victory, defeating Sara O'Brien in No.4 singles 2-6, 6-3, 6-0. Brault and Marine Kennel claimed the win at No. 3 doubles 9-8.
Roberts Wesleyan (7-4, 2-2) plays again on October 4th against Le Moyne College in Syracuse, N.Y. Â
