ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Playing on their home court for the first time this season, Roberts Wesleyan men's tennis fell 9-0 to No. 34-ranked NYIT in East Coast Conference action.

The Bears, who are also ranked No. 2 in the East Region, are the highest ranked team the Redhawks have faced.

At first doubles,
Charles Farres and
Robert Beer dropped the closest match of the afternoon, falling 9-8 to Matej Selecky and Jorge Gonzales Soler.

The duo of
Jose Maria Carrillo and
Jose Lopez Tapia also fell in a tough third doubles match, 8-4, to Tomas Leib and Alexndre Martinez.

Despite falling to 0-3 in the conference, Roberts Wesleyan is not eliminated yet from qualifying for the ECC tournament. If the Redhawks can win their final to ECC matches, the team could earn the fourth and final spot in the tournament.

The Redhawks will travel to face Daemen on Wednesday for a match at 4 p.m.
