FLUSHING, N.Y. – Roberts Wesleyan men's tennis suffered an 8-1 defeat at Queens on Saturday as the Redhawks slipped to 9-9 overall and 0-2 in East Coast Conference action.

Charles Farres was the lone winner for Roberts Wesleyan as he edged Ryan Frankel 6-4, 7-6 at first singles.

In perhaps the closest match of the day,
Jose Lopez Tapia was defeated by the Knight's Lucas Martinez 3-6, 7-6, 10-5 at third singles. Teammate
Rene Torti's fifth singles match also went into three sets as he fell 4-6, 6-4, 10-4.

The Redhawks step out of conference play this coming week as they travel to Post on Friday and Assumption on Sunday.
