The Roberts Wesleyan women's tennis team went 1-1 this weekend after losing to Saint Anselm College and defeating Franklin Pierce University.

On Saturday, the women lost their season opener 6-3 against the Saint Anselm Hawks. Sophomore Alyssa Brault was the only double winner defeating Bridget Keefe in straight sets in sixth singles competition 6-0; 6-1. The Rochester, NY native also won her doubles match 8-5 with teammate Marine Kennel. Also winning for the Redhawks was Tiffany Hamdan who won in straight sets in second singles.
 
On Sunday, the team defeated Franklin Pierce University with a dominating 8-1 victory. Brault again put together an impressive performance winning fourth singles, 6-0; 6-0 and teaming up with Kennel to win third doubles, 8-2.
 
The women's tennis team continues play on Tuesday when they face The College at Brockport at 4 p.m.
