Box Score RINDGE, N.H. – The Roberts Wesleyan University women's soccer team played three matches against East Coast Conference rival Mercy without conceding a single goal.
The teams held each other scoreless for 110 minutes while playing to a draw in Friday afternoon's NCAA Division II East Region First Round match at Franklin Pierce University, but the Mavericks advanced 4-3 on penalty kicks to end a memorable season for the Redhawks.

Mackenzie Hagen converted penalty kicks for Roberts (11-3-5), which earned its first ECC Championship with a 1-0 win over Mercy on Sunday. The Mavericks (14-3-3) will play second-seeded Franklin Pierce at noon on Sunday.

Mia Tyndell had another strong match for the Redhawks with seven saves.
"I am so proud of this team and the way that they played tonight and all season," Roberts coach
Bobby McColl said. "It's never easy when the season ends, but tonight they played really well. To end the season as ECC tournament champs and to finish in the NCAA Tournament is a huge accomplishment.
"As talented as these players are, they are even better people. It's been a pleasure to coach them."
Mercy had a goal disallowed 1:45 into the second overtime on an offside call and Roberts senior defender
Emma Taylor blocked back-to-back shots from inside the 18-yard line to keep the Mavericks off the board in the 107
th minute.
Roberts was making its third NCAA Tournament appearance and second in three seasons, having earned an at-large bid in 2023.
