COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A total of 12 players from the Roberts Wesleyan University Field Hockey team earned academic awards from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) with selection to the 2025 National Academic Squad. In addition, four players earned the honor of Scholars of Distinction for achieving a grade point average of at least a 3.90 for the Fall 2025 semester.
Sophomores Mary Catherine Maloney and Ava Barker joined freshmen Ryen Lago and Julia Lukasik with the honor of Scholars of Distinction for the Redhawks.
Senior Mia Robinson, junior Avery Richardson, sophomores Ava Trzepacz, Makena Tooley, Annie Barsch and Peyton Ayer along with freshmen Natalee Lawrence and Lyla Robertson joined the Scholars of Distinction with selection to the National Academic Squad with at least a 3.50 grade point average in the Fall.

The Redhawks were not only successful in the classroom, as the team posted seven wins in 2025 including a three-game win streak to start the season and set several school records in the process.
