COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The Roberts Wesleyan University Field Hockey team set a goal in preseason to earn the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Nation Team Academic Award and need to hit at least a team grade point average of 3.50.

The Redhawks found out this week that that goal had been achieved as the association announced its awards for the Fall semester.

Roberts had a combined team grade point average of 3.54 to eclipse the standard set by the association.

The Redhawks are one of just 19 teams in the country to earn the award after earning a dozen players on the National Academic Squad (3.50 or better GPA) and four earning the coveted Scholars of Distinction Award (3.90 or better GPA).
