COLONIA, NJ – Freshman Jayce Moore led the Roberts Wesleyan University to a 3-0 sweep over Dominican University over the weekend and has been named not only the East Coast Conference (ECC) Player of the Week but also the Rookie of the Week. In addition, senior Moises Jimenez was named the Defensive Player of the Week and sophomore Landon Brouwer was named the Setter of the Week.
Moore was a total team leader for the Redhawks in a 3-0 sweep over Dominican University in conference play over the weekend. He led the squad with 12 kills and an impressive .524 attack percentage (12/1/21). He was tied for the team lead with a pair of aces and was second with eight digs.
Jimenez led the Roberts defense with 10 digs. It was his ninth double-digit digs match of the season and he leads the ECC with 180 digs on the season.
Brouwer handed out 33 assists. He added a pair of aces and lead the conference in assists (755) and is tied for the conference lead with 22 aces.
The Redhawks hit the road this weekend with an ECC match at American International College Saturday.
