BUFFALO, NY – Sophomore Aimee Turner turned in an amazing performance as she led the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Flag Football team to a pair of victories Sunday at D'Youville University. The Redhawks (9-0) won a pair of shutout victories with a 53-0 win over D'Youville and a 69-0 win over Daemen University.

The two shutouts extend the current streak of consecutive shutout victories to six games as the Redhawks have outscored opponents 296-0.

In game one against D'Youville, Turner threw six touchdown passes with two each to freshmen Sarah Seyfang and Kate Rayburn and another two to sophomore Aaliyah McCoy.

After three scores in the first quarter, the Redhawks added two more in the second period to take a 33-0 lead at halftime.

The Saints opened the second half with a long drive with a pair of first downs, the Roberts defense forced a punt from near midfield and was returned by senior Barbora Fronkova 58 yards for a touchdown and a 39-0 lead.

D'Youville had another long drive that ended on a failed fourth down play just outside the 20-yard line and the Redhawks answered with a five-play drive capped by pass completion from Turner to McCoy and a long scoring run to extend the lead to 46-0.

An interception by Fronkova stopped the next D'Youville drive and the Redhawks focused on running plays on a drive that ended with a short Turner rushing TD to give Roberts the 53-0 lead.

In the second game of the morning, against Daemen, Turner intercepted four passes and returned all four for touchdowns. She added a 5-for-6 passing performance with three more scoring plays as Turner connected with Seyfang, Rayburn and McCoy for TD passes.

McCoy and Rayburn added scoring runs for the Redhawks.
