COLONIA, NJ – Junior forward Mustafa Alshadeedi scored the game-winning goal with less than 20 minutes remaining as the Roberts Wesleyan University Men's Soccer team opened the season with a 2-1 victory at Assumption University and the goal earned Alshadeedi a spot on the East Coast Conference (ECC) Weekly Honor Roll.

Alshadeedi scored the game-winning goal in the season-opening win for Roberts as he capped the direct kick play, sending a shot to the lower left corner after a deflection from teammate Louis Ferarri in the box. Roberts beat Assumption 2-1 on the road Saturday. The goal was the first for Alshadeedi in his Roberts career.

The Redhawks have a pair of games on the road this week facing Saint Anselm College Thursday and Saint Michael's College Saturday.
