Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks

Julie Varland was a midfielder for the Women’s Soccer team. She concluded her career with 39 goals and 35 assists, totaling 113 points. During her Freshman season, she scored 3 goals in an 8-minute span. Varland received many awards during her career, including NCCAA First and Second-team All-American honors, 1997 KECC MVP, and 1998 NAIA and NCCAA Academic All-American. In 1999, Varland was named to the NCCAA East All-Region Team, Northeast Atlantic All-Conference Team, and NSCAA and NAIA Region IX All-Region Team. She was named a captain her Senior year.
