Mike Faro was a major contributor to Roberts Athletics on the field and in administration. As a basketball player, Faro concluded his career with 878 points (9.3 ppg) in 94 games. He received the Outstanding Athlete Award and MVP honors his Senior year for all three sports. Faro began his career at Roberts in 1982, coaching basketball, soccer, and tennis. Ten years later, he became Athletic Director. Faro was known as a reliable coach and mentor and played an integral role in the transition from NAIA to NCAA for Roberts. He was also an inaugural member of the NCCAA Presitigious Character Award.
